PAN SEARED: Add 1-2 tablespoons of oil or butter on high heat. Place steak in hot pan and sear each side to desired doneness.
BAKED: Preheat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Bake to your desired doneness (varies from 8 to 18 minutes total) or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F. Flipping halfway.
GRILLED: Preheat grill to high heat. Oil the grates and steak. Grill to your desired doneness (varies from 4-10+ minutes, depending on thickness) and let rest for 5-7 minutes.
PRO TIPS:
If you are searing the steak, don't move it for the initial 2-3 minutes per side to get a nice crust on the steak.
Let the steak rest for 5-7 minutes before serving/slicing.
Find a great recipe for a compound butter---serve it on top of the cooked steak to shake things up a bit!
For food safety, cook to an internal temperature of 145°F as measured with a food thermometer.
Do not microwave.
