PAN SEARED: On high heat, sear for 1 to 2 1/2 minutes per side, depending on your desired doneness.
BAKED: Preheat oven to 400°F. Bake for 10-14 minutes, depending on doneness.
GRILLED: High direct heat. Lightly oil grates and fish. 1 1/2 to 3 minutes per side, depending on your desire doneness
PRO TIPS:
If you are pan searing your tuna, let the pan get smoking hot before adding tuna. Use a high smoke point oil or spray like avocado or grapeseed oil.
If baking, use a foil pouch with olive oil, lemon, and herbs to prevent drying out.
Let tuna "rest" of the heat for 2-3 minutes before slicing
For food safety, cook to an internal temperature of 145°F as measured with a food thermometer.
Do not microwave.
